Graphed and Growth Method make the same promise: AI agents that do real marketing work on your live data. They deliver it in opposite ways. Graphed sends engineers to build and manage agents for you. Growth Method gives your own team the agents and the system to run campaigns itself. This comparison covers what each one is, where each wins, and which suits your team.

The short answer

Choose Graphed if you are a founder or a small consumer brand that wants channel agents built and managed for you, and you would rather pay for hands-on help than learn a new system.

Choose Growth Method if you are a B2B marketing team that wants to run more campaigns in-house, keep what it learns, and see the price before the first call.

What Graphed is

Graphed launched in mid-2025 as an AI data analyst: connect your marketing sources, then chat with your data to build charts and dashboards. Founder Cody Schneider, formerly growth lead at Rupa Health, explained on the Startup Growth Podcast that owning the warehouse avoids the rate limits and slow queries of calling each tool directly. The team is small: LinkedIn lists two to 10 employees, and PitchBook places it in Bellevue, Washington.

In 2026 Graphed repositioned around agents. Its homepage now reads “Deploy AI agents for marketing”, with the subhead “Forward-deployed engineers embed with your team to build and manage marketing agents.” It lists 11 channel agents, including Facebook, Google and LinkedIn Ads agents, a cold email agent, LinkedIn and Instagram DM agents, a link building agent and a TAM mapping agent. First agents go live “in 5 business days”.

Underneath sits Graphed Cloud: Fivetran pipelines into a ClickHouse warehouse (the source of its “750+ sources”), a runtime for agents and cron jobs, and an MCP server that lets Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT run read-only SQL against that warehouse. Its skills catalogue adds coding-agent skills for UGC video ads, static Meta ads and cold email.

Named customers include Loman.ai, Sunflower Sober, distribute.so and AIApply. Graphed quotes them saying it “replaced two full-time analysts” and saved “30+ hours a week on reporting and campaign optimization”. These are Graphed’s own testimonials, not independent results.

Where Graphed wins

Graphed is a good answer for a specific buyer, and it does several things we do not.

  • Done for you. If you have no marketing team and no time, engineers who build the agents for you are worth paying for.
  • Channel execution. Dedicated agents for paid social, outbound email and DMs go deeper into one channel’s daily mechanics than a campaign system does.
  • A warehouse and dashboards. If you want every source in one queryable warehouse with SQL and live dashboards, Graphed builds that for you.
  • Creative production. UGC video, static ad generation and post-to-video tools sit alongside the agents.

Where Growth Method takes a different view

The two products disagree on six questions. Each is a choice, and the right answer depends on your team.

Who runs the marketing

Graphed’s headline model is forward-deployed engineering: its people build and manage your agents. We think AI moves the work the other way, into the company. The Association of National Advertisers has tracked the shift for 15 years, with in-house agencies at 82% of its members in 2023, up from 42% in 2008:

In-house agencies should no longer be considered a “trend.” They have become firmly entrenched as part of the holistic marketing ecosystem and are now a “mainstay.”

Association of National Advertisers, The Continued Rise of the In-House Agency: 2023 Edition

AI accelerates that. When agents do the planning, launching and analysis, the service layer becomes optional, and the learning stays with your team instead of with a vendor’s engineers. Growth Method is self-serve, and your team owns its campaigns, history and agents.

Where your data lives

Graphed copies your data into its warehouse and runs your agents on its cloud. That makes sources swappable, but it moves the lock-in from the tool to the platform. Marketing data is becoming a commodity, so your stack should be composable: swapping Semrush for DataForSEO, Google Analytics for PostHog, or Promptwatch for Peec should take minutes. In Growth Method you add or remove an integration in minutes, and your campaigns, your goal and your history stay put.

What the agents know

Each Graphed agent optimises one channel towards its own target, such as a blended ROAS of 2.0x. In AI the best context wins, and that starts with a clear goal and strategy:

Context engineering is the art and science of curating what will go into the limited context window from that constantly evolving universe of possible information.

Anthropic Applied AI team, Effective context engineering for AI agents, September 2025

Managing that context is an engineering skill marketing teams should not have to learn. In Growth Method every agent works from your goal, your strategy, team memory and your campaign history, and checks for duplicates before creating a campaign. We cover the discipline in our guide to context engineering.

Which AI models do the work

Graphed’s subprocessor list names two AI providers, Anthropic and OpenAI, and mentions no open-weight models. Do not build your marketing on one or two providers. Marketing is not quantum physics: most of the work is drafting, summarising and classifying, and a frontier reasoning model is often slower and dearer than the job needs. Growth Method is not tied to one provider. We move agents to a better or cheaper model as models improve, without you changing anything.

How changes are made safely

Graphed’s agents act on your accounts: its Facebook Ads agent “pauses losing ad sets, and scales winners”. Its Google Ads skill makes no changes unless you enable them, but its site does not describe approvals, a change log or how credentials are handled for the agents. Growth Method connects to your tools through MCP, the standard for AI integration, and adds safeguards on top: approval before changes, a classifier that judges every change, campaigns that move one stage at a time, step limits and timeouts, a change history, and integration credentials kept out of every AI surface. Our comparison of MCP and APIs explains the trade-offs.

What the loop learns

Graphed’s agents run tight loops inside a channel: tune bids, move budget, pause creative. Those loops make a channel more efficient. They do not tell you which campaign to run next. Iteration is old wisdom: Walter Shewhart’s cycle dates from 1939, Scrum from 1995 and the Agile Manifesto from 2001. Eric Ries put it most clearly:

The fundamental activity of a startup is to turn ideas into products, measure how customers respond, and then learn whether to pivot or persevere. All successful startup processes should be geared to accelerate that feedback loop.

Eric Ries, The Lean Startup

What has changed is cost. AI makes campaigns cheap to plan and launch, so the bottleneck moves from doing the work to learning from it. Growth Method runs every campaign through plan, launch, analyse, repeat, and each analysis feeds the next plan.

Which should you choose?

Pick Graphed if you are a founder-led or consumer brand, most of your growth comes from paid social, search ads and outbound, and you want engineers to build and run channel agents for you.

Pick Growth Method if you are a B2B marketing team that wants to run more campaigns itself, measure every one against one goal, keep a record of what worked, and see the price up front.

The two can also work together: Growth Method for the campaign plan and the learning loop, Graphed for day-to-day bid and budget work in your ad accounts. For a wider view of the market, see our ranking of the best agentic marketing platforms.

The bottom line

Graphed and Growth Method agree that agents will do most of the marketing work. They disagree on who directs them. Graphed rents you engineers and keeps your data in its platform. Growth Method gives your team the agents, the context and the loop, so the knowledge compounds inside your company.

About Growth Method

If you want AI agents without handing your marketing to someone else’s engineers, Growth Method is built for that. It gives B2B marketing teams AI agents that run their campaigns: plan, launch and analyse, from your live data, against one goal, with pre-built integrations for 50+ marketing platforms and safeguards on every change.
