Give the AI access to your data

Why Growth Method connects to your sources instead of storing uploaded copies, and where to put what.

Growth Method has no file uploads for the AI to read, and that’s deliberate. The AI works from your connected sources: your analytics, your site, and your documents where they already live. This page explains why, and where to put things so the AI can use them.

Live data beats copies

Growth Method grounds campaigns in real data. An exported spreadsheet is a snapshot: out of date the moment it’s saved, and limited to whatever was exported. The AI queries a connected source at the moment it needs an answer, so scoring, planning, and reviews reflect what’s happening now.

A connection can answer follow-up questions

Hand the AI a file and it can only read what’s in it, once. Give it a connected source and it can drill into a surprising result, cross-check a number, and look again next week when your campaign moves to analysing. Connections keep paying off; copies go stale.

Your agents work while you’re away

A custom agent runs on a schedule, often overnight. A workflow that depends on someone remembering to upload the latest export can’t run unattended. Connected sources are always available, so an agent pulls what it needs on every run without waiting for anyone.

Documents stay where they live

Briefs, brand guidelines, and research usually live in a tool like Notion. Rather than uploading a copy, connect that tool as a custom integration. The AI then reads the current version each time, and access follows the permissions you set in the source tool. No second copy sits in Growth Method quietly falling out of date.

Where to put what

  • Campaign and goal history: built in. The AI reads these without any setup.
  • Performance data: connect the source, for example PostHog, Google Analytics, or Search Console.
  • Your site and content: connect your CMS.
  • Documents, such as briefs and guidelines: keep them where they live and connect that tool as a custom integration.
  • Anything else that offers a remote MCP server: add it with Add custom integration.
