Keep your account secure

Protect your Growth Method account with a passkey, two-factor authentication, and a strong password.

Growth Method gives you three ways to protect your account: a passkey, two-factor authentication, and a strong password. Set each one up below, and sign in with a passkey instead of typing a password.

Add a passkey

A passkey lets you sign in with your device’s fingerprint, face, or PIN instead of a password. It can’t be phished, because it only works on the genuine Growth Method site.

Before you start, make sure your device has a screen lock set up, such as Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, or a PIN.

  1. Go to User settings.
  2. Select the Passkeys tab.
  3. In Passkey name, type a name you’ll recognise later, such as your device: “MacBook Pro”.
  4. Select Add passkey.
  5. Confirm your password when prompted.
  6. Approve the passkey with your device’s fingerprint, face, or PIN.

Your passkey now appears in the list, with the dates you added it and last used it.

Tip: add a passkey on each device you sign in from, so you can still get in if you lose one.

Sign in with a passkey

  1. Go to the sign-in page.
  2. Select Sign in with a passkey.
  3. Approve with your device’s fingerprint, face, or PIN.

You’re signed straight in, with no password to type. If your browser or device doesn’t support passkeys, the button doesn’t appear, and you can sign in with your password as usual.

Remove a passkey

  1. Go to User settings and select the Passkeys tab.
  2. Find the passkey in the list and select Remove.
  3. Confirm your password when prompted.

Turn on two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication asks for a one-time code from an authenticator app on top of your password, so a stolen password isn’t enough to get in.

  1. Go to User settings and select the Two factor authentication tab.
  2. Select Enable.
  3. Confirm your password when prompted.
  4. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or 1Password.
  5. Enter the six-digit code from the app, then select Confirm.
  6. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe. You can use them to get in if you lose your phone.

To turn it off, return to the same tab and select Disable.

Your password

Your password is the fallback for signing in, and it works alongside passkeys and two-factor authentication.

When you set or change your password, it must be at least 12 characters, and it’s checked against known data breaches so you can’t reuse a password that has leaked.

To change it, go to User settings and select the Password tab. If you’ve forgotten it, select Forgot password? on the sign-in page and follow the emailed link.

Which should I use?

Passkeys are the most secure option and the quickest to use, so set one up if your device supports it. You don’t have to pick only one: passkeys, two-factor authentication, and your password all work together, and turning one on never switches the others off.
